This is an opportunity to invest in an established precious hardwood forest that will begin its final and most important harvest in 7 years. This is also an investment in the forest's expansion, leveraging an experienced ground team that is today considered the premier grower of genuine Mahogany in Central America, with over 20 years of hands on experience. The manager has learned to optimize the use of resources (soil, topography, climate and existing vegetation) to maximize a sustainable hardwood production of superior quality. Part of this optimization of land use came about with the establishment of almost 10,000 high-grade cacao trees on the forest floor.
We are looking for ethical investors who appreciate the high social and environmental value of a model hardwood plantation with attractive return expectations.
The investment exists out of two components:
- 240 hectare plantation of well-managed hardwoods established between 1991 and 2011, featuring species like Genuine Mahogany, Rosewood and Tigerwood. This also includes 10 hectares of heirloom cacao that may be expanded (investment with ownership).
- +200 hectare expansion area that will be reforested on land already identified and in close proximity to the established project. These are fully titled lands ideal for native species reforestation.
Both farms are located in a safe area with high tourism exposure and feature good infrastructure, including well-maintained roads and fences with direct highway access and several waterways.
